I would create a distraction by pretending to take a another call, or state that I have an appointment to attend to or I can say I need to go to the restroom.

I’m so sorry, I need to go, I have some things I must take care of. Bye, have a nice day. 😀

If a person was annoying me talking I’d say “oh I have something important to do right now, we can talk another time, or I’ll let you go.”
Lynette, thanks for sharing. Well said my friend.
“I’d love to chat more, but I have something I really need to finish.

Jenni thanks for sharing.
I’ll just tell him or her it’s well. Nothing to stress about!
Oyebamiji thanks for sharing.
You can end it without being rude by keeping it short, polite, and neutral. Here are a few ways:
Use time as an excuse
“I’d love to chat more, but I need to get back to something now. Let’s catch up another time.”
Redirect and close:
“Thanks for sharing, I’ll think about that. I’ve got to step away now, talk later.”
Set a clear boundary:
“I should stop here for now. Let’s continue another time.”
Polite but firm exit:
“I need to go now. Take care.
The key is to sound respectful, but give no opening for the person to drag the conversation on.
I feel the same way. If I can’t get away sometimes I excuse myself to the restroom.
Valery well said and thanks for sharing.
Jamie thanks for sharing.
I think it depends on the type of annoying lol
It would be hard for me to hide my eye rolls and desire to leave in some situations. Nodding and smiling and walking backwards slowly ha ha
Otherwise it’s quite easy to politely excuse yourself with a simple ‘Wonderful to chat, but I must get going’
