“Hey, I’d love to keep chatting, but I’ve got to take care of a few things. Let’s catch up another time!”
“I’ve enjoyed our talk, but I should let you get back to your day too!”
“I just got a message I need to deal with. Let’s chat later!”
“I’m feeling a bit drained and need a little quiet time. Hope you understand!”
or for me I just like to be honest and tell them they are being annoying and that I’m not in mood to talk anymore so it doesn’t cause a argument

When dealing with an annoying person, the most polite and effective strategy is to introduce a clear, time-based constraint that shows your attention is required elsewhere, making the exit necessary rather than personal. You can use an assertive but kind phrase like, “I would love to keep chatting, but I need to jump into another call/meeting/task right now before my deadline hits,” or, “This was a good catch-up, but I have to be the adult in the room and get back to my focus work.” A future-focused statement works well too: “It was great talking, but I’m completely out of time; let’s pick this back up next week when things slow down.” The key is to be brief, state the necessity for leaving as an external, unavoidable force, and end the conversation on a quick, firm note without inviting any more comments.
That’s quite simple. Fake a call and excuse away

Me? I’ll keep it simple: ‘Alright, I’ma let you go, got a few things to knock out.’ Translation = I need peace ASAP. 😂

Sometimes conversations can be a bit overwhelming for me. I need some time to myself now.

The key is to be warm, firm, and frame your exit around your own needs or a prior commitment, making it seem natural rather than a rejection.
You can start with a little bit of appreciation or validation for the chat, even if it’s a small white lie. Something like, “It’s been so great catching up with you,” or “I’ve really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this.” This softens the transition.
Then, gently introduce your reason for needing to go. The best reasons are mundane, believable, and hard to argue with. You could mention a simple task, like, “Ah, this reminds me, I need to run and send a quick email before I forget,” or “I should probably get back to that report so I don’t hold up the team.”
Another very polite way is to frame it as being considerate of their time. Saying, “Well, I don’t want to monopolize all your time, so I’ll let you go,” is a classic because it makes you seem thoughtful.
You can also combine this with body language. Start to gently shift your posture, take a small step back, or glance in the direction you need to go as you say, “Anyway, I should let you get on with your day. It was wonderful seeing you!”

I will tell the person that l have something that l want to attend to. That we will continue the discussion next time

I would, of course, try to end the conversation politely and without showing any irritation. For me, there are several ways to finish the talk: I could say that I have other things to do, thank the person for the conversation and say goodbye, or gently change the topic and gradually close the discussion. The main point is that I don’t want to show that the person is unpleasant to me. After that, I would definitely reflect on why this person makes me feel annoyed. Because anyone who triggers such a strong emotion highlights something within myself, some part of my soul that I have not yet acknowledged or accepted.

I will just listen a little bit to the annoying person then , sometimes I will say, I need to go now or I need to use the bathroom.

It hasnt happened to me in terms of with friends but if its a random person i simply whenever theres an opportunity in the conversation I just say hey I really have to go but it was nice talking to you.

Let’s continue this another time; I have something that needs my attention.
Oh! Have got a phone call, before I disappear into the thin air. Wait there, will talk.
I will try as much as possible to calm the situation down and politely end the call amicably

You can politely say, “It’s been nice talking, but I need to run now. Take care!”

of course
The old me would have lied so I wouldn’t hurt their feelings but now I think I would tell them the truth but not in a mean way. I can get along with a lot of different types of people and unless that person is being hateful or gossiping about someone or telling lies then I probably would ask them if they knew how they were coming across in what ever they were saying that was annoying. I would record them and let them hear themselves lol just kidding I think. Seriously if they are annoying me they really gotta be beyond annoying and needs to be told. I would hope someone would tell me cause I wouldn’t want to keep being like that. I also think that sometimes people don’t realise how they sound to other people and my sister has told me that several times but she loves me anyway❤️😁
